› Our Securities Admission Service
The admission of securities to MAROCLEAR refers to the process through which financial securities, such as stocks, bonds, and other financial instruments, are registered and made available for circulation.
As the Moroccan Coding Agency "AMC," MAROCLEAR is responsible for codifying the financial instruments admitted to its operations. The International Securities Identification Number (ISIN) is one of the primary identifiers assigned to Moroccan securities.
Each ISIN code assigned is definitive and unique to the identified security.
Article 19 of Law No. 35-96 on the creation of a Central Securities Depository and the establishment of a general account registration system has defined the scope of dematerialization.
Securities mandatorily admitted to the operations of the central depository are:
› Listed securities on the stock exchange;
› Securities issued by the treasury through public bidding;
› Shares of open-ended investment companies, units of mutual funds, securitization collective investment funds, and shares or units of venture capital investment organizations;
› Negotiable debt securities;
› And any other securities issued as part of a public offering.
› Key Process Steps
Admission Request: The issuer or its representative submits an official request to the Central Depository, accompanied by required documents as specified in MAROCLEAR's operating rules based on the financial asset class (admission accounting letter, interest schedule, proof of issuance authorization by the capital market regulator AMMC …).
› Analysis of the financial securities' eligibility.
› Assignment of ISIN* CFI* FISN* codes for each admitted instrument.
› Registration of securities in the central system.
› Updating records in case of changes to the securities' characteristics.
The identification of an instrument by an ISIN* CFI* FISN code provides assurance to investors due to the worldwide reputation of ANNA as the leading institution offering expertise in the codification of financial instruments. The codification of financial instruments also facilitates transactions, reduces risks related to their custody, and promotes the secure and unambiguous execution of settlement procedures.
