Maroclear's participation in the 2024 edition of SIBOS, the annual conference organized by SWIFT for the financial industry.

Organized in Beijing from October 21 to 24, 2024, this event brought together more than 10,000 participants from 150 countries. The main theme, “Connecting the Future of Finance”, structured discussions on key topics such as cross-border payments, digital assets, cybersecurity and sustainability in financial services. p>

Thought leaders from around the world shared their perspectives on key topics such as artificial intelligence (AI), digital currencies, tokenization, the ISO 20022 standard, ESG criteria (environment, social, governance), integrated finance, interoperability and regulatory compliance.

The event highlighted crucial collaborations between financial institutions, fintechs and technology companies to strengthen financial inclusion, automate processes and improve resilience to digital threats. Innovations were also unveiled, notably in the tokenization of assets and the use of blockchain technologies to improve the transparency and confidentiality of financial transactions.

Sibos 2024 also stood out for its environmental commitment: the event was powered 100% by green energy, a first in the history of the conference. 

At the same time, panels on standards such as ISO 20022 and data analysis tools explored ways to better meet the expectations of clients and support an interconnected and sustainable financial ecosystem.
